-An Artistic Lobby at Padma Resort Bali at Legian

Category: News – Padma Resort Bali 5:59 am

Legian, Bali – 20th June 2009 was the opening date of Padma Resort Bali’s refurbished Lobby. This new looks pays homage to Bali’s artistic heritage and features visually appealing ornamentation that soothes the senses and creates ambience of serenity. The soft melody of live Rindik music in conjunction with the gracious hospitality delivered by our staff treats guests to a truly Balinese experience.

The man behind the lotus-shaped murals and decorations in the Lobby is Ketut Winata. Created in Bandung, where he currently resides, the design was inspired by the radiance of the lotus flower, which has always been Padma’s trademark, and formulated into a sculpture made of copper and brass. The challenge for Ketut Winata was to transfer sketched impressions into a three dimensional sculpture. However, the end result is considered a quintessential work of art from this respected Indonesian artisan.
In the centre of the Lobby, accompanying the murals and decorations, is the celebrated sculpture by Nyoman Nuarta, entitled Happy Wave. This stunning combination of contemporary artistry defines the overall aesthetic look of the new Lobby.

The newly refurbished Lobby is part of an extensive re-branding programme that is currently being carried out. Padma Resort Bali is commitment to creating a memorable resort experience by fusing the renowned hospitality and culture of Bali.
