Indonesian born Tjipjanto Soerjanto, the General Manager of Padma Resort Bali, embarked on his career in the hospitality industry as Sales Executive for Jakarta Hilton International in 1987. Upon joining Padma Resort Bali in 1989, he was appointed as Sales and Marketing Manager in the Resort’s pre-opening team and later was promoted to Director of Sales and Marketing position. In 1994, he became Executive Assistant Manager in charge of Rooms and Sales, and a year later he was named as Financial Controller for the Legian-based Resort. He earned his BSc in Accounting/Finance from Oregon State University and his Master of Business Administration in Marketing from San Diego State University, USA.
In 1997, Mr. Soerjanto was appointed as General Manager of the property. His career with the Resort has focused on special project management to continuously raise the Resort’s standards and take it to the cutting edge of the hospitality industry. Such clear focus has in turn made Padma Resort Bali one of the key players in the region for the leisure and the medium-sized MICE markets. Soerjanto said that the Resort’s mission was to make the guests feel at home, where they could enjoy the highest quality of comfort that was delivered through service excellence.
A keen sportsman and an enthusiastic amateur classical guitar player, Soerjanto is also an ardent art lover.
