Padma Resort Bali would like to introduce its newest collection of a state-of –the-art “kecak” sculpture from the respected artist Ketut Winata.
One can witness the majesty of an unforgettable experience of Kecak dance in a form of a sculpture in the northern area garden within Padma Resort Bali. At daytime, one can sit down on a bench just across the artwork under the shades and admire the beauty of Ketut Winata’s work on “Kecak Dance”, one of the most popular performance in Bali, which is pictured in a form of a Balinese man on top of people’s hands, which resemble fire. The performance consists of some people who form a circle around the center of the attention to give spirit and soul to what is performed. The center of the “stage” tells the story of Ramayana Epic in which Prince Rama fought to rescue his beloved wife, Shinta, who had been previously abducted by the evil Rahwana.
The Artist, Ketut Winata is one of the greatest Indonesian artists. He graduated from the Departments of Fine Arts Bandung Institute of Technology in 1984. He resides in Bandung, West Java at the moment. Being able to engineer the space with the sculpture is every sculptor’s idealism and that is what happens in Padma Resort’s Northern area garden. The garden in which “Kecak” is located makes everyone aware of its presence. At night, the lighting effects of the surroundings make “Kecak” outstands within the romantic vibe of the garden.
