- Search, Search, Search
There are millions of tweets on Twitter and millions of posts on Facebook daily. Search for the buzz that may be about your business. Use Google alerts, search hash tags that relate to your industry, or use an online reputation management company who will do this for you. You can use that opportunity to engage and find new customers by searching who is following your competition. Take the time out to say hello, and ask them to check you out. This is great, especially if your competition has not already taken the time to engage with the potential customer. Good searches relevant to your business and brand can help you target potential customers by being personable and human. No one likes an immediate sales pitch.
