When it comes to Bodybuilding Legs, many people especially men go to the gym and mainly focus on their upper body. In order to have an all-around developed body, it is important to build muscles in your legs which can help with libido as well.
Building your leg muscles has many benefits. For instance, the upper body can only pump the amount of weight that the legs can handle to keep the entire body standing.
Running, cycling, and playing most sports require the use of your legs. When you think about it, whenever you do aerobic activity, it usually requires your thighs and calf muscles.
Burning Calories and Your Legs
As I’m sure you know, the bigger the muscle – the more calories you will burn. With that being said, your legs make up forty percent of your body muscles. That’s a lot when you want to burn calories. Just one leg exercise such as the squats will burn more calories than any other particular upper body exercise, purely because of its size. Therefore, when burning calories through weight training or cardiovascular exercise, your legs are a big part of that process.
Leg Exercises Will Get Your Heart Pumping
When I do my squats, I find myself out of breath at the end of the exercise. Many types of exercises that require the use of your legs will get your heart going. Jump lunges and burpees are great exercises that combine aerobic activity with muscle building. Sprints and high-intensity interval training for running or cycling will also incorporate your thighs and calves so that you are bodybuilding legs as well as getting a cardiovascular exercise.
