Finding The Cheapest Bodybuilding Supplements

There, I said it. But it’s really true. If you’ve looked around for protein powder or creatine or any other supplement then you know that this stuff isn’t cheap. Why protein supplements can run you as much as $12 per pound! That’s more than a nice steak at the grocery store.

Well, here’s a short list of cheaper supplements that will get the job done.

Protein Powders

By far the best brand of protein powder available is Optimum Nutrition, but it clocks in at around $60 for 5 pounds. That’s not exactly affordable. One of the better alternatives is Twin Lab whey protein.

You can get the same amount for around $45, and it tastes nearly as good and is just as good of a protein delivery vehicle. I’ve tasted both, and, while I like ON better, Twin Lab does a fine job. I wouldn’t be ashamed to have their product on top of my refrigerator.

If whey isn’t your style, or you’re looking for a non-dairy alternative, you’ll need to look at soy or plant protein. Now, you’re probably going to wind up spending around the same amount, if not a little more, so don’t think that this can save you money; it’s strictly for people with dietary issues.

Again, ON makes the best stuff, but a close second is Nutiva Organic Hemp powder, which you can get for about $50 for 5 pounds. The taste and texture aren’t the greatest in the world, but they mix fairly well if you make a shake, and there are a lot of ways you can use it to mask the somewhat unfortunate flavor, like mixing it with cottage cheese and fruit.

So, those are some protein powders that have the right price, but if you’re looking at picking up a new jug of the stuff then don’t be afraid to check sales. Sometimes you can pick up the most premium brands for the same price or less than these ones, and that’s something to write home about.

Creatine and Other Stuff

The other supplement that’s popular is creatine. Now, not all creatine was created equal, but they’re all so close that it makes no difference. There’s very little difference between the cheapest brand and the most expensive. All you need to do is look for the price per gram—and the flavor.

I usually go for the unflavored kind because it doesn’t ruin the taste of whatever I put it in. ON offers it for something like $25 per pound, which is insane, but NOW Foods will give it to you for $10 per pound. That’s a much better deal.

The same goes for other supplements, too. Whether you’re looking for cranberry extract or fish oil, go for the cheapest one. there are many supplements that are affordable for you to buy online. you can find the list of best testosterone booster that are great at their work and are 100 percent effective. With the positive feedback from the users you can ensure yourself that these are safe to consume. Some may have more filler than others, but the amount the package says is the amount of supplement in each pill. Plus, you only metabolize about 10% of the stuff anyway, so don’t worry about a little extra filler.
