Transform One Room of Home into Holiday Coffee House

Read Time:2 Minute, 27 Second

Is your home the place where everyone seems to congregate during the Holiday season? Not just the big Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners, but on their way to and from anywhere else (or perhaps your home is the destination) do kinfolks and friends tend to drop by? If this sounds like your place, or if you would like for your home to be that place, use these ideas to transform one room of your home into a Holiday coffee house that is always guest ready and comfy.

Keep it Simple

People enjoy a simple reprieve from the demands of the Holiday season. A place where they can come in and shrug off their coat, drop packages, sit down and prop their feet up while drinking something refreshing and warming. Keep your coffee house room simple and meet everyone’s (including your own) needs. For keeping the life simple, a person can get fresh coffee delivery in singapore. The mood of the person will be relaxed and energy will be positive. The calling of the coffee subscription will be easy and simple for the person. The mind of the person will remain refresh and stress-free for long duration.

Room Decor

Place a coat rack and thick rug or old cookie sheet pan under the coat rack to hold wet snow boots or umbrellas. Have plenty of seating in the room, add extra throw pillows and if the room has a fireplace, keep a fire going. Lighted candles will provide the same ambiance if a fireplace is not available. Have a television turned on or play Christmas music in the room all the time. If space permits, add a card table and four folding chairs to the room and place board games and a deck of cards on the table for guests to enjoy. A decorated Christmas tree and other d├ęcor will also add to the Holiday cheer. Have local store circulars and catalogs placed on a coffee table or side tables for Holiday shoppers needing inspiration or gift ideas.

Coffee Prep Area

A table near an electric outlet is all that’s needed to create a coffee prep area. Cover the table with a festive vinyl table cover for easy cleanup and place a small trash can near the table. Keep a large coffee pot of hot water on the table along with odd coffee mugs and ceramic or china saucers, spoons, napkins and a variety of instant coffee, hot chocolate and creamer flavors. Set out some finger food snacks, homemade or store bought, so visitors can help themselves. Individually wrapped snack cakes and fresh fruit work are good choices.

Hang a chalk board over the coffee prep area a write down the ‘house special’ or the days and times your coffee house will be open. Add a decorative tip jar to the table if desired to help defray the cost and to make your coffee house room even feel more authentic.
